What is a module and how do they work?
Modules are applications that contain business logic to perform certain tasks and provide key information about your applications or the impact a change may have on them.
appTitudes current and future modules are:
Compatibility Manager- will my applications run on a new or updated Windows Operating System, like Windows Vista?
As our flagship module, Compatibility Manager, this module will help you automatically assess if your applications are compatible with Windows Vista, without the need to install or manually test each application providing a more focused remediation strategy.
Virtualisation Manager - are my applications suitable for virtualisation?
Scheduled for release in November 2007, this module interrogates your applications to see if they are suitable candidates for virtualisation using Microsoft's SoftGrid and if an application relies on another application in order to function correctly, all this before you assign valuable resources to find out manually
Patch Manager - what impact is this patch going to have on my estate when I roll it out?
High risk "Patch Tuesday" strategies will become a thing of the past on release of our Patch Manager. Deploying critical patches and crossing fingers that it won't have a negative effect on your user base? Not any more, Patch Manager will allow you to assess the risk and understand the effects of rolling out a new patch onto your Windows Operating System before you do so.
Interoperability Manager - will my applications break each other if installed together on the same desktop platform?
This module provides an overview of the top critical conflicts between applications within your portfolio.
Complexity Manager - how much effort will each application require to package, when migrating?
This module examines the complexity of each application to provide an indication of the time and effort necessary to update the entire estate allowing you to accurately predict time & effort.
